I was interviewed for the Beyond Gender Podcast about asexuality. They made a couple exceptions for me, which I really appreciate.
Check out the podcast here or listen to it here!
And give the Beyond Gender Podcast a like and/or follow them. You can also find them on facebook & twitter.
Asexual ACES wants to write books with you. Ace-friendly books, by aces, with aces in them and/or for aces.
The idea is that different people individually write one chapter. Then a bunch of people will read the submitted chapters and vote which one they like best. Then, people will write another chapter that connects to the previous one. Those submissions will be read and voted on.
Rinse and repeat.
Jen, Jim and Tim each write a version of chapter 1.
Five hundred people vote. Jen and Jim’s chapters each get one hundred votes, Tim’s gets three hundred votes. Tim’s version becomes the first chapter.
Jen, Tim, Gena, Kate and LJ each write a chapter 2.
Twelve people vote. Gena’s version gets the most votes and becomes the second chapter.
And so on.
Depending on how many people are interested and active and depending on how fast people write, there may be several book projects at the same time.
Jen, Jim and Tim individually write a chapter for book project A, while Sam and Kelly individually write a chapter for book project B.
Both will be voted on separately.
Depending on the amount of votes, there may be several versions of the same book project, too.
Jen and Jim each get eighty votes for their chapter 7, Tim only gets sixteen. Now, Jen and Jim’s versions both become a seventh chapter. The project will be split. Now, people can write their chapters for either Jen’s version or for Jim’s.
Both will be voted on separately.
The goal is to publish a bunch of acesome books and have a cake-ton of fun in the process.
- People who write (Writers can also read & vote)
- People who read
- People who illustrate (Cover art, maps, characters, …)
- People who can check for typos and stuff
- Maybe even people who can translate into other languages &
- People who do audiobook recordings
If you’re interested, send a message to the facebook page‘s inbox where you request to join the Secret Asexual ACES Book Projects Group. Add your email address that you used to sign up for facebook, so I can invite you to the group. The invitation will be sent to that email address.
I’m making ace-related videos and I want your help.
I don’t mind doing all the work myself, but that would be pretty one-sided. Asexuality is a very complex subject & aces are a very diverse group of people. I want to give everyone a chance to give their input on different topics, because a lot of times there’s no right and wrong, no black and white. It’s a spectrum with many different facets.
The topics will often not be too specific to allow lots of different approaches and interpretations.
If you want to be part of a video, here is what you can do:
- Video clips
- Audio recordings
- Comic strips
- Written texts
- Or something like that
To this email
Subject: The topic of the video.
Text box: Your info (Your name or nickname, your orientations, your gender, your nationality, your age and/or whatever you want to share about yourself.). If you want to remain anonymously, please state that instead. If you have a blog, a shop, a YouTube channel or something else that you want me to link to, add it.
Attachment: Whatever you want to submit.
I’ll collect the ingredients and then turn them into an acesome video cake, so to speak.
It has to be about the current topic.
It has to be made by/with/of you.
You must have and give permission to use it.
It can’t contain any violence, threats, slurs, nudity or other anything illegal.
Don’t out anyone without their permission.
No [anything]-phobic remarks or [anything]-ism whatsoever.
The topics and deadlines will be announced on the facebook page, in a pinned post. If neither topic nor deadline are pinned, that means there’s currently no video project I’m working on.
I can’t promise to use everything that you submit.
You can submit as much or as little or as often as you want. If it gets too spammy, I’ll let you know.
I’m looking forward to your submissions!
I made a new closed Asexual ACES Group.
Due to the admin being locked out of her ace account (for not using her actual name) the group no longer has an admin.
Do not join the group, do not post or comment there.
I will make a new group soon.
Stickers you can use as photo comments when someone mentions a misconception.
Like mentioned before, I have been working on a few projects. I am happy to announce that two of these projects are available now!
Project No. 1 is Miscellaneace – an ace and aro-friendly dating site that offers different types of relationship for the vast ace and ace spectrum community. The site is free. You can log in with your facebook or with your email.
Project No. 2 is Teenace – a social network for asexual and ace spectrum teenagers. The site is free. You can log in with your facebook or with your email.
I’m currently working on a few projects that I’d love to share with you all very soon.
They’re different types of things. Some more complex than others. I’m trying to make them as “acethetic”, helpful, easy to use and bug-free as possibly, so they will be positive experiences for everyone.
In addition to those projects, I’ll continue working on ACE GIRL comic strips. It’s been a while since I published one.
Time for ACE GIRL to return!
Asexual ACES now has its own heraldic animal. The Unimerdrasus.
