“I have a question. As an ally, when I hear someone saying something acephobic in a one-on-one setting, what’s my responsibility? Is it better to try to get them to recognize why what they’re saying doesn’t make sense so that they can hopefully become less bigoted, or to show them that what they said isn’t ever acceptable to say even when no one who’s ace is present, or something else entirely?”
