“I’m asexual and just recently went to my new mental health doctor. She asked if I was gay or straight and I said gray asexual. I began explaining it but she silence me by saying (and filling in) “not sexually active.”
It’s been bothering me since, considering while I am choosing to not have sex, it’s not because I’m ace. What exactly do I do in this situation? I know my sexuality is valid but she acted like asexuality is a choice to not have sex.”
