“I’m moving to a new area and will be looking for new doctors and a new therapist. Due to a history of chronic health problems and mental health issues, I’m worried that my medical professionals will try to say that my being asexual is because I’m a survivor of rape. I was asexual long before that. But I’m really nervous about having to explain asexuality to my healthcare team and get them to understand. Any words of wisdom or informational websites specifically for medical professionals about asexuality on the subject? Thanks!
