“When I was in middle school, I was never like the other girls, always boy crazy and hated being single and acted as though it were a disease. People always just thought I was prude or lesbian, which caused alot of bullying back then. After asexuality becoming more and more known, I saw about it on facebook and did some research. I first came out as asexual about 8 months ago, and it has been both good and bad. People at school who had interest in me respected me for my choice, then others said you haven’t found the right man yet or called me a plant. I don’t regret it a single bit though, and I’m much happier knowing that there isn’t anything wrong with me, and that being asexual is completely normal, even if I am only 15.”
