“For discussion: Does anybody else struggle with not feeling justified to include yourself in the LGBT+ community as more than an ally? Maybe it’s cause I’m demi and not fully ace, but I pass for “normal” really easily and don’t face a lot of daily struggle for my identities. That said, realizing I’m demi has been a huge relief and now is a huge part of my identity, and it does bring a handful of struggles, particularly in dating. But also, that’s nothing compared to what those who’s identities fall more radically outside the “norm” face constantly. I don’t want to invalidate their struggles.”
