“Obviously asexuality and aromanticism are orientations and not mental health conditions but I’ve been worrying recently about whether I might be interpreting some of my mental health problems as elements of my aroace-ness when they’re not. I’m particularly hoping that there might be somebody on here who knows about borderline personality disorder who might be able to advise me. I’ve been having what I was thinking of as a squish lately on a friend of mine but I’ve been reading about the whole Favourite Person thing and it kind of feels like I’m imprinting on them. I’ve had this before with people and I’m not sure whether to be worried about it or not… I’d welcome any insights anyone can give 🙂 (I haven’t been diagnosed with bpd, just anxiety and depression, so I’m probably just overthinking this but any responses would be welcome either way!)”
